This is a picture of Main Street at Maldon after some much needed Autumn rain.
This photo was taken at around 7am and as you can see, rush hour hasn’t quite started in town yet.
The Beehive Gold Mine ruins at Maldon incorporate the imposing Beehive Chimney which is visible from most parts of town and even from the top of Mount Tarrengower.
This picture is a view of Main Street Maldon from above the Beehive Chimney showing Maldon on a cool autumn day.
It’s been very dry this year at Maldon, almost drought conditions.
Fortunately this week we were blessed with a good amount of autumn rain and it’s not a moment too soon.

The BSA Motorcycles Owners association operates the All British Motorcycle Rally each year and as part of the rally rides from Newstead to Maldon for the day.
This year over 1000 people attended and a sea of British motorcycles, mostly historical and vintage, filled Main Street at Maldon.
Today people stopped to view the massive display of bikes. Riders stopped in at local cafes and the bakery for lunch. Visitors not expecting the rally looked bemused or amazed at how many motorcycles filled the street.
The BSA Motorcycle Owners Association has run the All British Rally annually since 1977. This years event is to be held again in Newstead, Victoria, at the Old Newstead Racecourse. Owners and aficionados of British Motorcycles, their families and friends are all welcome at the All British Rally.
Here are some photos from the event today. Thanks to everyone who attended and brought Main Street to life.
We look forward to the return of the All British Rally to Maldon next year. It was a great event. Riders and visitors alike enjoyed the display of motorcycles and meeting old and new friends. A great day for everyone.
